Note:
Basketball is a great sport for our youth. It demands and builds teamwork and gross motor skills. Basketball rules are age appropriate and easy to understand. Basketball is a physically demanding sport with some physical contact. Coaches are parent volunteers; if you are interested in coaching please indicate head or assistant coach, or either. If you have any questions on what is expected or needed to be a coach please do not hesitate to call Seth Willis at (828) 428-5070 or swillis@maidennc.gov. Requests to be on the same team as another player or specific coach are not guaranteed. The only way players are guaranteed to be together is family members (brothers or sisters) or those living in the same household. Please understand this is done is fairness to all participants. Teams are redrafted each season.
